Wild and Fragile: A Love Worth Breaking For

My heart is a wild and fragile thing, A creature of storms and sunlight wings, It dances on edges, teeters on ledges,
Like a child unafraid of what the night brings.
To love is to risk, to dive without a rope, To fall with a dream, to live on hope,
It's the gamble of life, a bet on a thread, It’s walking the wire where angels fear to tread.
And yes, it may shatter, break into pieces, A mosaic of memories, of lost love’s releases, but I’d gather them all, with hands scarred and worn, for love is a battle worth every thorn.
As Teddy Swims sings,
“Only you could stop the madness, Only you could still the air, Only you could show compassion, When the world has none to spare.”
So I risk it all, with every breath I take, For in love’s wild embrace, I’m willing to break.
Because a life lived in fear, without the chance to bleed, is a garden untended, a world without seed.
My heart is a wild and fragile thing, But I’d rather it soar, I’d rather it sing.
For love is th.e courage to open your chest, And say, “Here, take it all, I’ll handle the rest.”
